Between the 7th and the 10th of June all classes from Year 1 to Year 5 went to the Magredi, an area of the western Friuli plains, to visit the educational farm “Gelindo dei Magredi” and participate in workshops dedicated to food, to animals and to the local area. Nursery children put their hands at work on pastry dough, Year 2 got to know horses and donkeys, Year 3 and Year 4 focused respectively on the creation of butter and honey, and finally Year 5 got to know the habitat of the local area, focusing on herbs, flowers and birds.
At the end of these beautiful days in the outdoors all children were guided in a tour around the farm and enjoyed a sumptuous and typical farmhouse lunch!
