April 30, 2025
On
May 30th the classes of
Year 7 and Year 9 participated to the laboratory
"Electronic waste, what a story!", as part of their
Technology programme.
The
circular economy is a new way of thinking about the economy; the linear model, based on the "production/consuption/waste" sequence clashes with the
limitation of natural resources, with a
heavy negative impact on the environment and waste management. The
circular model, on the other hand, is
regenerative and restorative: each product that ends its cycle can be reintroduced through the recovery of its constituent materials or some of it parts, which can be reused for new products.
The activity had the objective to
accompany the students in discovering this new perspective starting from electrical and electronic appliances fallen into disuse, in order to "sow" the principles of this
new lifestyle, much
more respectful of the environment, and most of all experience it directly!
