On May 13th the class of Year 9 visited the museum of Casa Cavazzini in Udine for a guided tour of the “Impressionism and Modernity” exhibition.

This internationally renowed exhibition brings over 80 pieces created by the greatest masters of modern Europen art to Friuli Venezia Giulia. Among the works on display there are masterpieces by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley, Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandisky, Renè Magritte, Max Ernst, Paul Klee, and Giorgio de Chirico, amond others!

Our students experienced firsthand a visual narrative that spans the evolution of artistic languages, but also the story of those who believed in the aesthetic revolution of the 20th century, purchasing and preserving works that we now consider cornerstones of contemporary visual culture!
