Today the students of Year 7 and Year 8 went to the Cornino Natural Reserve to participate in the workshop “His majesty the Tagliamento”, as part of their Science and Geography curriculum. The Reserve covers an area of about 500 hectares and it is the guardian of a natural context of ineffable beauty, positioned between the bed of the Tagliamento river and the rockt walls of the Carnic Prealps.

The students went there to discover one of the most important rivers of Alpine origin and capture the most revelant aspects of its ecosystem. After a guided tour in the Visitor Center area, the group hiked up to the panoramic hill overlooking the Tagliamento river and then went down to its riverbed to learn its secrets. On the way back they were also able to enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Cornino!
