why

The Mills

The commitment to nurture and celebrate the talents of each child.
Choosing a school for a child is one of the most important decisions a family makes. Decisions are based upon a number of factors, including a school’s reputation, its location and facilities, but most importantly, its “product”: the pupils in the school.
The Mills is seen as a forward-looking school where we value academic success and personal growth equally. The school is known for being small, friendly and open, with a clear set of values agreed upon and respected by all members of the school community.
By combining the best of traditional educational methods – both British and Italian – with innovative, unique activities, we have created a distinctive school where enthusiastic pupils are active participants in the adventure of their education.

The Mills...

...this is a school with a difference,

rigour in everything

but going about it in a way that shows young people

they can lead the world in a new way.

Linguistic Development

Language courses / Certification tests

The achievements of our students after The Mills have been truly phenomenal.
The good fortune to be educated at this school gives them the skills and the confidence to make a positive difference to whatever world they move onto after The Mills.
The ability to add value to each child’s education and encourage him or her to perform above original expectations is what sets this school apart.

Introductory Language Courses

We welcome boys and girls from other schools cities or countries. Careful attention is paid to the needs of the individual pupil and, wherever needed, a tailored language programme is created to contribute to their progress.

Cambridge Exams

As the pupils reach Year 4, preparation for Cambridge Y.L.E. – Young Learners English Tests – is woven into the curriculum. In Years7, 8 and 9, highly qualified specialist teachers prepare students to sit for Cambridge K.E.T., P.E.T. and First Certificate.

Advanced English Courses

We aim to foster further linguistic development of our former pupils by offering advanced courses in preparation for Cambridge C.A.E. (Certificate in Advanced English) and Proficiency. Likewise, regarding the German language, we offer advanced courses enabling to sit for Goethe-Zertifikat B1.
