{"id":9040,"date":"2025-05-16T10:45:21","date_gmt":"2025-05-16T08:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.themills.it\/?p=9040"},"modified":"2025-05-16T15:26:54","modified_gmt":"2025-05-16T13:26:54","slug":"fossils-and-chemistry-in-trieste","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.themills.it\/en\/fossils-and-chemistry-in-trieste","title":{"rendered":"FOSSILS AND CHEMISTRY IN TRIESTE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On <strong>May 16th<\/strong> the children of <strong>Year 3 <\/strong>went to Trieste to visit the <strong>Natural History Museum<\/strong>, in the morning, and the <strong>Immaginario Scientifico<\/strong>, in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>At the museum they participated in a <strong>paleontology workshop<\/strong>, in which plaster casts were used to <strong>reconstruct the shape of ancient fossils<\/strong>, which allowed them to understand how fossils are formed and <strong>how their study can give back to us details about our planet&#8217;s past<\/strong>. The students had also the opportunity to visit the paleontology section of the museum, to discover the <strong>different ways in which living beings have left traces<\/strong> and how these traces came down to us.<\/p>\n<p>The group then moved to the Immaginario Scientifico, where they<strong> became familiar with chemistry<\/strong> and some of its basic concepts, thanks to a dedicated laboratory activity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It was a very busy day<\/strong>, full of <strong>interesting activities<\/strong> for our little paleontologists and chemists!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 16th the children of Year 3 went to Trieste to visit the Natural History Museum, in the morning, and the Immaginario Scientifico, in the afternoon.
