On May 18th our Year 6, Year 7 and Year 8 students visited the “Valle Canal Novo Nature Reserve” in Marano Lagunare (UD).
Conceived on the model of the Anglo-Saxon “Wetlands Centers”, the visitor center of the Reserve is built maintaining the traditional building typology known as “Casone”. It is a center for the interpretation, education and environmental conversation of the lagoon heritage.
Following the visit to the Reserve, our students embarked on the “Saturno” motor ship for a guided excursion to the lagoon and to the “Foci dello Stella” nature reserve. Before returning to the mainland and back home, everybody had lunch in a typical and comfortable “fisherman’s cottage”!
