The 26th of November our Year 4 class will go to the Natural History Museum in Udine to participate in the educational workshop “Plants: a world of shapes and meanings”.

Children will observe and manipulate different plants, in order to understand which parts they are made of and their specific function. They will be able to discover the differences between roots and rhizomes, bulbs and tubers, to recognize fruits, false fruits and much more.

The objectives of the project are to stimulate the direct observation of plant organisms, to know how to identify and describe the different parts of a plant and any modified organs, but also to interpret the biological meaning of such forms.
