The “Let’s Read At School” project, promoted by the Damatrà cooperative, is underway!
This year The Mills English School, together with 12 other schools in Friuli, will participate with all its primary and secondary classes. Every day, throughout the school year, teachers will guarantee 15 minutes dedicated exclusively to the reading of books, articles and essays. The project is innovative and aims to spread reading activities among young people, not only from the formative point of view, but also as a tool for social prevention. In fact, a strong reader has greater resilience and adaptation to change than a non-reader.
The project will allow our school to create new synergies, also with the municipal library, which will provide all school classes with a suitcase full of books that will be available to students!
