Last week the Year 9 students participated in an experiential anatomy project, guided and supported by an expert, Caterina Gottardo. The aim was to offer our students a more emotional and engaging point of view while approaching a scientific subject like the anatomical study of the heart.
It was an experiment based on movement (running and jumping), to perceive the heart directly through its beating. But it was also a moment of sharing and comparison through the use of images and videos, so as to be able to analyze the relationships between the heart, the brain and the upper limbs.
An unprecedented and very engaging activity which the students undoubtedly appreciated!
