Year 7 students have recently started a cyberbullying class together with professor Giacomo Trevisan from MEC (Media – Education – Community). The goal is to discover the communicative potential of the different digital devices available to them and the set of rules and risks of the Internet. At the same time a group of teachers have been engaged in an intensive training to understand the methodologies behind cyberbullying prevention.
The purpose of these two classes is to encourage the conscious, ethical and effective use of new technologies, together with the promotion of respect and inclusion against cyberbullying. Education and new technologies often intersect each other, they are now part of our daily life, but being technically expert is not enough!
