June has arrived and it's time for the end of the year trips for all our classes from Nursery to Year 6! The chosen dates are the 6th and 7th of June.
The 6th the children of Year 1 and Year 2 will be traveling to the beautiful rural area of the Magredi and the incredible Gelindo didactic farm, where the children will have a chance to touch with their own hands the animals that live there, but they will also prepare fantastic jam cakes and biscuits in two different workshops.
The next day our Nursery and Reception classes will visit the magnificent zoo at Lignano Sabbiadoro, where they'll observe many different animal species, but they'll also participate in a didactic lab called "Cartoon Zoo", a fantastic discovery of all the animals protagonists in famous animated movies.
Year 3 will go to the "Isola della Cona" natural reserve in Staranzano (GO), in order to visit the reserve but also to participate in an exciting "botanical treasure hunt"!
Year 4 and 5 will go to the Cornino Natural Reserve, and will visit its particular turquoise lake (Year 4), but will also participate in "In a drop of water" (Year 5), an outdoor learning path that allows the study of waters from a chemical, physical and biological point of view (invertebrates and microorganisms). The objective is to understand and know the state of health of the ecosystem and look at the fascinating secrets of water in a simple but scientific way. Year 4 in the afternoon will also be part of an interesting laboratory dedicated to archeological excavations in Forgaria del Friuli!
And finally Year 6! The class will be at the Opificium Librorum in Ragogna in the morning and at the Quadris Oasis in Fagagna in the afternoon. They will first study and then try out an ancient art of writing used in medieval times, next it will be time to search and take a look at fantastic ibis and stork species.
What a special way to approach the final days of school!!
